To examine the relationship between panic attack and suicide risk, we analyzed data from a representative epidemiological survey of 43,093 adults (NESARC) using logistic regression controlling for socio-demographic and clinical variables. In depression, panic attacks are associated with increased odds of suicide attempt even after controlling for demographic and clinical variables. Furthermore, panic attacks can differentiate those who attempt suicide from those with ideation only.

The purpose of this study were to examine if the mRNA of the peripheral dopamine receptor is changed in schizophrenia patients. 50 Naive patients were enrolled. After extracting RNA from white blood cells, cDNA is synthesized. After doing the quantitative Real-time PCR, expression of D3 receptors in healthy persons and patients were compared. Results of this examinations reveals that expression of D3 receptor is increased in compared with controls sample.

This poster showcases our review of interventions that were found to be effective in reducing ambulatory sensitive hospitalisations (ASH). ASH refers to those conditions where hospitalisations an be avoided by measures taken by clinicians and other carers at outpatient departments or in the community.

The heart-wood of Dalbergia sissoo Roxb. is reported to be used in traditional medicinal practices, of which anti-inflammatory is one. The present work evaluates the effect of the heart-wood extract on the carrageenan induced rat paw edema. The drug was found to be active at lowest of 3 doses tried. the drug can be said to posses anti-inflamatory activity but needs further evaluation of discover the pathway of the same.
