Abstract

The focus of this presentation is to present snapshots from Select Biosciences’ industry tracking of the global stem cells marketplace. Detailed analysis of this market is found in Select Biosciences recently-published Stem Cells in Regenerative Medicine 2008 Market Report. As part of our continuing industry coverage, Select Biosciences has been collecting data concerning the research activities of stem cell researchers worldwide. We have, for instance, mapped the types of vendors supplying products to the research community. We have segmented the market by the type of stem cells studied and utilized in research activities. Select Biosciences has also analyzed the competitive landscape in terms of types of companies, their research focus, and their offering (research products or regenerative medicine)—these topics are discussed in this presentation. Select Biosciences has also tracked the increasing usage of stem cells in drug discovery/development and toxicity screening—our market surveys illustrate the penetrance of these activities in the marketplace currently. Select Biosciences is also tracking the worldwide stem cells-focused clinical trials and illustrates in this presentation the type of trials, their focal area, and the global breakout of these trials.
